Summary
A close appreciation of the Dutch artist Johannes Vermeer (1632–1675) and his renowned paintings, exploring the lack of information about Vermeer’s life, his use of optical techniques, the city where Vermeer lived, as well as other notable artists of the time, like Pieter de Hooch (1629–1684).
