Daniel B. Shapiro is a distinguished visiting fellow at the Institute for National Security Studies in Tel Aviv. He served as US ambassador to Israel and on the National Security Council staff at the White House during the Obama Administration. He has also served in several senior advisory roles in the US Congress, including for the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Senator Dianne Feinstein, and Senator Bill Nelson. He was appointed by DNC Chairman Tom Perez to be a member of 2020 Democratic Platform Committee.
