Emman El-Badawy is the director of the Extremism Policy Unit at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change. She shapes the institute’s research and policy agenda on security and extremism. She specializes in the Middle East, political Islam, Islamist movements, and counterterrorism. Emman is a regular contributor to broadcast media, including Sky News and BBC News. She is also a fellow of the British Academy and the Department of War Studies at King’s College London.
