Summary
Judge Dennis Davis discusses the film “Anatomy of a Murder”, a 1959 American courtroom drama produced and directed by Otto Preminger. The screenplay was based on the 1958 novel of the same name written by Michigan Supreme Court Justice John D. Voelker, who based the novel on a 1952 murder case in which he was the defense attorney. It is considered by some to be one of the finest pure trial movies ever made.

He has held professorial appointments at the University of Cape Town and University of the Witwatersrand, as well as numerous visiting appointments at Cambridge, Harvard, New York University, and others. He has authored eleven books, including Lawfare: Judging Politics in South Africa.
