How to watch
This lecture starts on 3 March at 5:00pm (UK).
Summary
A Mini-Purim, or Second Purim, is a celebratory day uniquely observed by a particular Jewish community or individual family to commemorate the anniversary of its deliverance from destruction, catastrophe, or an antisemitic ruler or threat. To celebrate tonight’s festival of Purim, we revisit the stories of Mini-Purims in the Sephardi World, from Algiers and Cairo to Djerba and Tiberias.
