Weaving her two famous sleuths through her remarkable life story, this talk uncovers surprising truths about a woman who was far from the stereotypical English lady. Agatha Christie (1890–1976) sang light opera, trained seriously as a pianist, and even took to surfing and skating with real skill. We also examine the long-debated question: Was she truly antisemitic?

Judy Karbritz is a journalist, author and broadcaster. She has presented her own show on Jewish radio. She lectures in adult education and regularly gives talks to various groups locally and on cruise ships. She is a poet and co-founder of The Jewish Poetry Society.
