The last in a series, we examine the emergence of modern Muslim political movements, the Muslim reaction to Zionism, Muslim violence against Jews in the Middle East in the first of the 20th century. We conclude with a consideration of the current situation and how to think about it.

Zvi Ben-Dor Benite teaches Chinese History, Middle Eastern and Islamic history, and sometimes Jewish history, at New York University.
