How to watch
This lecture starts on 20 November at 5:00pm (UK).
Summary
250,000 Polish Jews returned home after World War II, but the survivors were unwelcome and the antisemitism in Poland continued. There were killings after the killings—a lethal homecoming. Kielce, a small backwater on the map of Poland, was the epicenter of postwar pogroms, prompting a mass exodus of Jews and Holocaust survivors from Poland. This lecture includes a compelling photographic record.
