How to watch

This lecture starts on 22 July at 7:00pm (UK).

Summary

The flipside of Ireland’s rent-a-crowd, anti-Israel, and BDS activism is the country’s pride in its own human rights record. To quote a former chief commissioner of the Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission, “Ireland has a strong international reputation as a champion of civil society.” In this talk, Yanky Fachler catalogues Ireland’s systematic state-sponsored human rights abuses against its most vulnerable citizens, calling into question the nation’s reputation as a champion of civil society.
