William Tyler
Time Bomb of Taiwan
How to watch
Summary
Taiwan is a tension hotspot in what is often now referred to as the New Cold War. Since Mao’s victory in 1949, Taiwan has been the seat of the Nationalist Chinese. In this lecture we will explore the wider issue of tension in the South China Sea, the various nations involved, as well as the central question of whether China will invade Taiwan, and, if it does, whether the US will respond.
