Women in the École de Paris, Part 2: Hermine David and Kiki de Montparnasse
How to watch
Summary
The painter Hermine David (1886–1970) and the chanteuse, model, and artist Kiki de Montparnasse (1901–1953) were iconic figures of 1920s Montparnasse. Each became more famous for images made by their male partner (Jules Pascin for Hermine David and Man Ray for Kiki de Montparnasse) than for their own work. Both deserve to be celebrated in their own right.
