Professor Ken Gemes
Why the Jews Survived
How to watch
This lecture starts on 20 November at 5:00pm (UK).
Summary
Historians agree that it is a great conundrum that so many peoples and civilizations of the ancient world—Egyptians, Assyrians, Babylonians, Romans, Greeks, etc.—have perished, while the Jews have endured. This talk looks at the nature of the Jewish God and the history of the ancient Jews to provide a key element that helps illuminate this historical conundrum.
