October 7: Atrocity and Denial
Summary
In this presentation, John Ware leads a discussion on outright “atrocity denialism” in the face of irrefutable facts–the latest civilisational clash between those of us struggling to maintain the norms of society and a growing constituency who seem beyond reason. And this clash could not be more fundamental because it is about basic facts and evidence, irrespective of how Israel has conducted the war in Gaza.

John Ware was a staff reporter for the BBC’s flagship documentary programme, Panorama, from 1986 to 2012. Today he makes occasional documentaries for the BBC and elsewhere and has written extensively about non-violent extremism in the UK, fragmenting social cohesion, the rise of antisemitism in Britain and the Israel-Palestine conflict. His last BBC Panorama in February this year revealed how Hamas had funded the growth of its military wing into a force almost half the size of the British army.
