Professor David Peimer
The Great Directors: Roman Polanski
Summary
While in hiding, a 10-year-old Roman Polanski watched his father and family taken away to be murdered by the Nazis. Though Polanski survived the horrors of the Holocaust, later, in Hollywood, his pregnant wife Sharon Tate was murdered by members of the Manson Family cult. Despite so much tragedy, Polanski went on to make some of the most acclaimed films of the 20th century. In this presentation we will explore the controversial life and filmography of a truly unique film maker.
