Howard Epstein
Edward Teller: The Father of the H-Bomb?

Wednesday 4.09.2024

Summary

While J. Robert Oppenheimer (1904–1967) is justifiably remembered as the “father of the atomic bomb,” how accurate is it to refer to Edward Teller (1908–2003) as the “father of the hydrogen bomb”? And can the latter WMD ever be deployed? Howard Epstein will explore these and other issues that have occurred to him in researching his upcoming work: No Genius: Hitler’s Fatal Mistakes.
