How Hollywood Invented the New Jew
Summary
During the 1960s and 1970s a new generation of Jewish Hollywood stars rose to prominence, including Barbra Streisand, Dustin Hoffman, and Eliott Gould. What was particularly striking about these actors was how upfront they were about their Jewish appearance. There was no attempt to disguise their Jewishness. Instead, they embraced their Jewish looks.
